Our Backs are against the wall

OH MY !
I Don't have words to describe our performance this week. I was disappointed to see our fielding going from bad to worse. We dropped some easy catches, misfielded a lot of ground balls and overall did not show any fight out there. At one point i thought that even our opponents had realized that the safest bet is to hit the ball in the air and keep running as no one will catch the ball. I think we gave at least 75 - 90 runs extra due to our pathetic fielding. We dropped a guy in the first over and he went on to score 82 odd runs. We managed to control the flow of runs in the last 15 overs. They were well placed at 203 in 26 overs and managed to score 299. CCC must feel proud scoring that big of a total without a major contribution from their 2 big guns. Another worrying factor for our team is batting. This is the 3rd straight game where we have not passed a total of 225. We lost early wickets again and from that point on it was do or die. I am really enjoying my batting these days but i am not able to convert them into wins for my team. This is a team sport and we wont be able win if we do not improve all 3 aspects of our game. Our bowlers took a beating in the beginning and got hit to all parts of the ground. Either my bowlers were trying too hard or they did not show enough fight.
I got to see some of the Houston Rockets NBA finals game on Sunday night at ESPN Classic. I did not know that Rockets were one of the lower level teams to make it to the finals that year. They eventually won the championship.
They played like a team and showed amazing fight to win it all. Next week i want my team to show the same spirit as the Rockets had and
win the game against RCC.

See you next week until then signing off from Southwest
