Cougars pace bowlers put together their best effort of the season by restricting Falcons to only 163 and later our batsmen followed it up with a competent performance by achieving the target in just 22 overs.

 

First it was our bowlers that must be given credit for setting up the victory, backed up by some quality fielding. The outstanding part of the fielding was Junaid's impressive catches at long-off and a catch by Rehan at square leg.

The fact that we only needed to score at a little more than four an over ensured contribution form everyone. Shahzad and Guddu Bhai started superbly and went after the bowling, hitting straight through the line and square of the wicket to bring up a smattering of boundaries. Guddu Bhai went on to score a half-century again and string of scores 20 from Shahzad, brutal 38 from Danish with 3 sixes and 3 fours in particular and 16 from Muddassar (not out) ensured a much-needed win. Well done – Cougars!
